DIY Dry Erase Board

Want to make your own customized dry erase board? It's so easy!

You will need:
  • Frame with glass insert
  • Mineral spirits or ammonia
  • Spray paint
  • Flat head screwdriver
  • painting surface
  • dry erase marker

Choose an interesting-looking frame, preferably with a flat or grooved top edge. This will give you a place to store your dry-erase markers!

Remove the glass and art print. Clean frame and glass with ammonia or rub with mineral spirits.

Choose your paint! I chose blue ocean breeze for the glass and oil rubbed bronze for the frame. I sprayed the frame with matte finish. This reduces shine and adds an additional layer of protection.

Paint only one side of the glass! Place glass insert back into the frame, unpainted side to the front. Place the art print back into the frame. This will keep the glass insert from shifting around.

Get out your dry erase markers!

Get it? BOARD meeting. Because this is a dry-erase board :-).
